9. General rental terms

These terms summarise the main rental conditions for the holiday home Le Secret des Cordelières, located in Neufchâtel-en-Bray. They supplement the information provided at the time of booking and the seasonal rental agreement signed by the parties.

9.1 Purpose of the rental

The agreement concerns the seasonal rental of the furnished accommodation Le Secret des Cordelières.

9.2 Length of stay, arrival and departure

The rental is granted for the period agreed at the time of booking. Arrival is from 4 p.m., between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.. Departure is no later than 11 a.m., between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m..

9.3 Price and payment

The total amount of the stay is communicated before the booking is confirmed. This amount includes end-of-stay cleaning. Payment is made according to the terms set out in the agreement, with a deposit followed by payment of the balance.

9.4 Security deposit

A security deposit may be requested on arrival, by cheque or in cash. It is returned after the accommodation has been checked, provided that no damage, deterioration or breach has been observed.

9.5 Use of the premises

The tenant undertakes to use the accommodation peacefully, to respect the premises, the equipment and the neighbourhood. The accommodation is strictly non-smoking.

9.6 Pets

Pets may be accepted subject to conditions and with prior approval. They are not allowed on beds or sofas, nor upstairs in the bedrooms. Pet waste must be picked up. Any pet waste not picked up may result in a charge of €10 per item.

9.7 Inventory and reporting issues

An inventory may be carried out on arrival and departure. Any anomaly, defect or problem found in the accommodation must be reported within a maximum of 24 hours after arrival.

9.8 Cancellation conditions

In the event of cancellation by the tenant, the following conditions apply:

• 1 month or more before the stay: full refund;
• between 2 weeks and 1 month before the stay: 50% refund;
• less than 2 weeks before the stay: no refund.

In the event of cancellation by the owner, all sums paid are fully refunded.

9.9 Insurance

The tenant must be covered by civil liability insurance for the duration of the stay.

9.10 Disputes

In the event of a difficulty, the parties undertake to prioritise an amicable resolution. Failing agreement, the competent courts may be referred to.
